LUX L&D Sentiment Survey

Insights and trends in the Luxembourg Learning and Development market.

The Learning Distillery has been a corporate member of AmCham Luxembourg since 2022 and partnered in the creation of its Resourcing, Training & Development Committee.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AmCham) is proud to announce a significant initiative by its Resourcing, Training, and Development Committee: the launch of the “L&D Luxembourg Sentiment Survey.”

The purpose of this survey is to create a snapshot of the Learning & Development (L&D) industry in Luxembourg (October-December 2024). We are conducting this research to help foster understanding, connection, and growth within the L&D professional community in Luxembourg.

  •  Organizational training needs and skills priorities
  • Future trends in L&D
  • Roles and structures of L&D teams
  • Level of technology adoption
  • A.I. use cases in L&D
  • Key challenges facing L&D professionals

A collaborative approach:

We sourced several questions on this survey from Luxembourg’s L&D community via our social media channels. These questions are indicated with the note “Community Contribution”. Thank you to everyone who submitted questions — we are grateful for your partnership.

Follow-up events:

Following the publication of the survey report, AmCham will organize a series of events in early 2025. These events will:

  • Address the key insights from the report
  • Launch a collaborative discussion on local L&D challenges
  • Strengthen the professional L&D community in Luxembourg

Even though economic austerity makes it tempting to cut investment in our human capital talent development, this would be a false economy. Still, bowing to the times, it makes sense to ensure that every training and development expenditure is as efficient and sensible as possible. For that reason the AMCHAM community of L&D experts has decided to launch a training and development survey to help us see where we are compared to where we want to go, and to identify the best L&D practices as well as the least effective L&D practices.”

About the Resourcing, Training & Development Committee:

The Resourcing, Training, and Development Committee, formally launched in December 2022, has been instrumental in supporting L&D professionals in Luxembourg. In an era of rapid change, the committee provides a vital supportive ecosystem for L&D practitioners.

“The Learning & Development profession has evolved dramatically in recent years,” says Claude May, co-Chair of the committee. “Our goal is to help professionals navigate the latest trends, methodologies, and technologies while managing current challenges.”

Since its inception, the committee has:

  • Organized regular events and webinars
  • Developed a thriving L&D community
  • Created a LinkedIn forum for ongoing communication
